2018 Palatinate

Spring trip to the Palatinate 2018

In 2018 our spring trip took us to the Palatinate. We started in the Rheingau in the morning and first drove through Rheinhessen. As always, we took side roads, which are easy to drive in a vintage car, towards Donnersberg. We strolled through the Palatinate Forest and in the afternoon reached the hotel, which is located in a very beautiful, historic wine-growing town in the Palatinate.

The next morning we set off on a short tour through the Palatinate. First we went past Roman remains and important landmarks, such as Hambach Castle. We then strolled through the Palatinate Forest with its impressive sandstone castles before heading back to the hotel on the wine route through picturesque towns. Of course, a wine tasting is a must when traveling on the Palatinate Wine Route. After the rehearsal we of course returned to the hotel on foot.

For the way home there was again a route on branch routes through the Palatinate and Rheinhessen.
